J5SF Steel Strip & Flat Stock Butt Welder
Our J Series Flat Stock Micro Weld Butt Welders operate with greater efficiency, endure longer, and deliver consistent, high-quality welds on steel strip and titanium flat stock. The J5SF is the mid model of the three-model range, welding strip from .010 in (0,25 mm) to 1.00 in (25,40 mm) on a heavier 440-lb chassis. Extra heavy-duty primary coils and secondary transformer components deliver the power wider strip demands, with solid-state 99-step SCR heat control for fine, repeatable heat. Flat-stock anneal, heavy-duty shear, and filing vise options, plus foot-actuated clamping and upset, keep prep through finish at one station.

Comparison to Similar Models
The J5SF is the mid model of the flat-stock J Series, welding steel strip and titanium from .010 in to 1.00 in (0.25–25.40 mm). Like the rest of the “SF” line it is a flat-stock machine — flat construction, flat-stock dies and tooling — distinct from the round-wire JC and JS lines.
Where the J4SF is a 180-lb machine, the J5SF is a larger 440-lb machine with a bigger transformer (234/117/95 max draw) for wider, heavier strip. Choose it when your strip exceeds the J4SF’s .750 in width; step up to the J6SF (.020–1.25 in) for the widest stock. For round wire or rod, choose a JC or JS model.
Best For
Manufacturers joining mid-width steel strip and flat stock (up to 1.00 in) — blade, band, and strapping producers, or titanium strip work — that need more flat-stock capacity than the J4SF.
