Our J Series Flat Stock Micro Weld Butt Welders operate with greater efficiency, endure longer, and deliver consistent, high-quality welds on steel strip and titanium flat stock. The J4SF is the entry model of the three-model flat stock range, welding strip from .010 in (0,25 mm) to .750 in (19,05 mm). Extra heavy-duty primary coils and secondary transformer components make it powerful and reliable, while solid-state 99-step SCR heat control gives fine, repeatable heat across the full thickness range. Flat-stock anneal, heavy-duty shear, and filing vise options — plus foot-actuated clamping and upset — handle prep, weld, and finish at a single station.

Comparison to Similar Models
“SF” models are the flat-stock line — the J Series Flat Stock welders — built for steel strip and titanium in flat construction, not round wire. This is a fundamentally different machine from the round-wire JC (non-ferrous) and JS (ferrous) lines, even though it shares the J chassis, foot-actuated upset, and SCR heat control. The dies, anneal, shear, and vise are all flat-stock-specific.
The J4SF is the entry model of the three-model flat-stock line, welding strip from .010 in to .750 in (0.25–19.05 mm) in a 180-lb footprint. Step up to the J5SF (.010–1.00 in) or J6SF (.020–1.25 in) for wider or thicker strip. If you weld round wire or rod instead of flat stock, choose a JC or JS model.
