RW-1 Ring Welder | Steel Rings .03–.187 in
The RW-1 is the entry model in Micro Weld’s RW Series of ring welders, purpose-built for high-speed piece production and coil-to-coil wire welding of formed steel and titanium rings. It joins solid steel from .030 to .187 in (0.76–4.74 mm) — the finest range in the series — making it ideal for small-diameter ring and loop work. Interlock 108 SCR weld control pairs with electrically controlled, pneumatically actuated clamps and upset for fast, clean, repeatable cycles, all in a compact 280 lb package.

Real-World Benefits
- Fast, clean cycles: Pneumatically actuated upset supports the quick, repeatable welds high piece-count production depends on.
- Fine-range precision: The series’ smallest range makes it well suited to delicate rings and loops.
- Repeatable control: Interlock 108 SCR weld control delivers consistent energy on every cycle.
- Compact and mobile: At 280 lbs on a caster truck, it moves easily around the shop floor.
- Optional conditioning: Mechanical or pneumatic anneal devices and a water-cooling package are available.
Comparison to Similar Models
The RW-1 covers the finest ring range in the series (.030–.187 in). For larger rings, the line scales through the RW-2 (.080–.250 in), RW-3 (.187–.375 in), and RW-4 (.250–.500 in). Unlike Micro Weld’s solid-rod machines — the J8S, THD, and MD series — the RW is a ring-construction welder optimized for closing formed rings and joining coil ends, not for straight solid-rod piece welding. Choose the RW-1 when your rings sit at the small end of the range.
Best For
- Manufacturers of small steel or titanium rings and loops
- Fine-wire coil-to-coil joining operations
- High-speed, high-piece-count ring production
